Mangalore Moments

After Mumbai terror attack, now India is once more discussing about a city that is Mangalore. Mostly this city is known for beaches and delicious south Indian food. But this time matter is little different. One socially active group attacked the Pub and physically abused boys and girls who were present in Pub.

In first look, it’s really disappointing to see that somebody beating to the public specially girls in such a brutal manner. Definitely there is no law and order fear to those guys who were doing all this violence there. I am not sure who has given to right to somebody to decide life of other in the name of God or culture.

Now question comes what happened to those who did violence in Mangalore. After a week or may be 10 day they all are free or about to free. Now what is government is doing there??? After getting huge pressure from all dimensions there were few arrest and then a statement that Pub should be banned in Karnataka!!!

On one hand governments have given licenses to Pubs, wine shops and on other side Karnataka government is some where supporting act happed in Mangalore. If government is seriously thing to remove this Alcohol culture from society then why there are distributing licenses for Alcohol. But if government will stop licensing to bars and pubs then how they will generate revenue but if people will go there to use pubs and bars then what happen to their so called “Indian culture”?? Dilemma!!

May be choices are clear let the people decide where they want to go or where they want to celebrate. And let the law and order forces ensure that bar and pub owners are providing services under Indian constitution and law.

At last, Daughter of Chief Minister of Karnataka is opposing the ban on pubs, and then it may be tough to Mr. CM to convince entire state if his own daughter is not convinced.a
